Sally M. Donahue and Michael P. Ryan to Chair Upcoming CLE Programs

Jaspan Schlesinger LLP is proud to announce that Partner Sally M. Donahue and Counsel Michael P. Ryan will have leadership roles in two upcoming continuing legal education programs in the areas of trusts and estates and guardianship practice.

On October 30, 2018, Ms. Donahue will serve as co-chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s continuing legal education program, approved by the Office of Court Administration, titled Guardians ad Litem: Part 36 Certified Training. Participants will become eligible to to be added to the Part 36 list and receive certain court appointments, and earn 3.5 professional practice credits and .5 ethics credits. The program will be held at the Nassau County Bar Association and registration may be completed online here.

On December 4, 2018, Ms. Donahue and Mr. Ryan will serve as co-chairs of the New York State Bar Association’s continuing legal education program on Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law. The program is approved by the Office of Court Administration and participants will become eligible to receive court appointments as court evaluators, guardians, and attorneys for alleged incapacitated persons. They will also receive 3.0 professional practice credits, 2.0 skills credits and 2.5 ethics credits. The program will be held in New York City and registration may be completed online here.

Ms. Donahue and Mr. Ryan each bring to these programs decades of experience in the area of trusts and estates law and fiduciary litigation, including years of service as court attorney-referees in the Nassau County Surrogate’s Court. Mr. Ryan also served as the Court’s Chief Clerk from 2005 through 2011.
