Date: May 1st, 2017
Location: The Suffolk Lawyer

Jessica M. Baquet, a Partner in the Appellate, Litigation, Education and Labor Law Groups at Jaspan Schlesinger LLP has written an article for the May 2017 edition of The Suffolk Lawyer entitled Practical Considerations for Time Limited Trials.

New York State Commercial Division Rule 26 was recently amended to¬†more closely resemble the Federal Rules’ provision for time-limited trials. Amended Rule 26, will become effective on July 1, 2017,¬†explicitly authorizes judges to limit the total number of trial hours permitted for each party.

The article provides a thorough analysis of the implications of the Amended Rule and its effect on the Courts and practitioners.

Her article is re-printed with permission of The Suffolk Lawyer.
