Jaspan Schlesinger Counsel Marc Alessi Honored as one of Long Island’s Top 40 under 40
Marc Alessi, counsel to the Firm and a former New York State Assemblyman, was recently named by Long Island Business News as one of Long Island’s top forty young leaders.
Marc was the Downstate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the New York State Comptroller’s Office and was elected to the Assembly in 2005, representing the First Assembly District, which includes parts of Brookhaven as well as the entire Towns of Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island.
Mr. Alessi has been recognized as Man of the Year by the Suffolk County Police Conference (2010) and by the Long Island Farm Bureau (2009). Marc recently became director of the Long Island Angel Network, and is a member of the Long Island Software and Technology Network, the Center for New Technologies and the New York State Bar Association Intellectual Property Section. Marc also chairs the Brookhaven Town Democratic Committee.
Mr. Alessi earned his Bachelor’s Degree at SUNY Albany and then completed his law degree at Touro Law School, where he received awards in the study of health care law.
