James A. Raborn Joins Jaspan Schlesinger as Head of its New Jersey Practice Group
Jaspan Schlesinger LLP announced today that James A. Raborn, Esq.
has joined the firm as of counsel. Raborn will lead the firm’s newly launched New Jersey Practice Group. The addition of Raborn and launch of the new group underscores the firm’s commitment to strategic expansion in key practices and markets to meet the constantly evolving needs of the firm’s diverse clients.
The Firm's New Jersey Practice Group will service all types of banks, credit unions, mortgage servicers as well as businesses, school districts, municipalities and high net worth individuals.
Raborn will focus his practice on commercial litigation and banking matters, and was previously general counsel of a community bank. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions as both in-house and outside counsel on a wide range of matters including banking operations and regulatory compliance, including retail operations, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance. Raborn also has extensive experience with loan transactions, loan sales, workout, foreclosure, disposition of owned real estate, collections, complex commercial litigation and real estate litigation, including title claims, zoning and land use, and eminent domain litigation.
Attorneys in the New Jersey Practice Group will handle commercial matters, including lending, workout, bankruptcy, bank regulatory matters, real estate, corporate matters, general and complex commercial litigation, employment and labor law, and condemnation. The New Jersey Practice Group will also offer advice on a host of other matters including: municipal law, estate and tax planning, probate, real estate tax appeals, education, trademark and matrimonial matters.
