David Paseltiner Honored by Education and Assistance Corporation

David E. Paseltiner, a Partner at Jaspan Schlesinger , LLP, was recently honored recently by Education and Assistance Corporation (EAC), at its 3rd Annual “Celebrating Children” Party at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Established in 1969, EAC is a not-for-profit agency providing a broad array of educational, vocational, counseling, mediation and intervention services to protect children, promote healthy families and communities, help seniors and empower individuals to take control of their lives.


Mr. Paseltiner has provided extensive pro bono services throughout his career. In addition to being the immediate past Chairman of EAC and a Board member for 14 years, the is the President of the Board of Directors of Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank, the leading anti-hunger organization and the only food bank on Long Island, and a Board member of the Long Island Chapter of the American Heart Association. Mr. Paseltiner was honored by the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center as one of its 2006 Outstanding Pro Bono Attorneys for his efforts on behalf of a number of charities on Long Island.


Mr. Paseltiner heads the Corporate and Commercial Transactions practice group at Jaspan Schlesinger. He has extensive experience in a broad range of sophisticated commercial matters, including representing both borrowers and lenders in complex financial transactions, in structuring, negotiating and implementing merger, acquisitions and divestitures, in negotiating and drafting employment and compensation agreements and agreements among shareholders, partners and limited liability company members, and in other corporate, commercial and real estate transactions.


Mr. Paseltiner received his Juris Doctor degree in 1988 from the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a published editor of the Law Review, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 from Boston University. He regularly lectures on a variety of corporate matters.
